This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Sometimes I wonder where my art comes from. I've never been trained. I know next to nothing about other abstract artists. And yet I always seem to know where I want to put the pencil.
My first love is music. I started playing bass in rock groups, then funk, then jazz. Jazz was so technical that I had to study theory for years and expand my palate for tension and abstract expression. I beleive this complexity sets the stage for my visual art proclivities. Almost all of my pictures are abstract elements dancing around a harmonious theme...parts of raw expression placed delicately so as to contribute to the building a unique house (composition) emitting a (hopefully) stunning compound vision. The same process could be used for any jazz solo, simply place your riffs and licks (the elements) in sonic space with an abstract logic cohesive enough to bind them together into a dynamic, refined musical statement.
I hope my art expands your visual tendencies to spot patterns and complexity the way Coltrane, Bley, Vandermark (jazz artists) did for me with their raw, abstract, energetic styles. The flavor of my expressions is a sort of "fine dynamism," a clear and fun logic bringing your eye from dimension to dimension of abstract elements, symbols, patterns and compositions.
